Lincoln-Harrison Greenway

North Evanston needs a safe and direct east-west cycling route on Lincoln and Harrison Streets, which would connect Central St businesses, Haven and St. Athanasius Schools, Metra and CTA stations, The Evans at Canal Shores, Northwestern University, the new Ryan Field, the Sheridan Road protected bike lanes, and the Old Orchard, Channel and Lakefront Trails.

Common elements of neighborhood greenways include reduced speed limits, shared lane markings, improved signage, raised crosswalks, and dedicated/protected bike lanes in high-traffic areas. This project can be coordinated with existing plans to add protected lanes on the Lincoln St Bridge over the Channel when it is due to be replaced in the coming years.
