Lincoln-Harrison Greenway

A neighborhood greenway along Lincoln and Harrison Streets would provide a direct east-west route with improved safety for cyclists and pedestrians through the 6th and 7th Wards in North Evanston.

Common elements would include reduced speed limits, shared lane markings, improved signage, raised crosswalks, and dedicated/protected bike lanes in high-traffic areas.

Major destinations that would be connected include Haven and St. Athanasius Schools, Central St Businesses, Metra, CTA, Lighthouse Beach, The Evans at Canal Shores, and the new Ryan Field.

The route would also link the Old Orchard Trail and Gross Point Road Bike Lanes to the west, with the Channel Trail, Sheridan Road Protected Bike Lanes and Lakefront Path at Northwestern to the east.
